I promised in my last post that I would start sharing more of my work with you but unfortunately that will have to wait for just a little while until I can organise a "copyright" watermark to put on each piece of my work. I have never worried about this before but in recent days it has come to my attention that someone has taken so much of my work (from here, my blog) and put them on her website. She did this without my permission and when I asked her to remove them she said she would in a few weeks time. Not Acceptable! The date she said she'd remove them has passed and still she has my work there. She ignores my emails and the emails from many of my craft friends. I don't know what else to do to make her respect my requests.
Had this person asked me for permission to display my work I would have given it but she didn't. Not only has she used my work but it still has my own personal naming on it.. that is for example, on a card for my grandson, it is called FOR ADAM... and she still has that. The same with all the other pieces of my work.. TWELVE of them in all!
I've been advised that one way to show her what she is doing is wrong is for as many people, from all over the world, to write to her and tell her she is breaching copyright and to remove my work. If you would like to write to this woman, please email me and I will send you the link to her site. Email me on angieandtshina@gmail.com Perhaps if I took the advice of the Duchess I might get further with this
I'm organising a watermark and will show you work real soon. I PROMISE. Ooooh one more thing. I have just added a 'gadget' to my blog whereby you can 'FOLLOW MY BLOG' ... I do hope I've done it correctly, if someone could let me now I'd be grateful. I will post something.. anything in a day or so just to see if this works for you.
Thanks for your support. Angie

hi angie
I am sorry your being abused by the scumbags that seem to be popping up more and more these days on the net,. because they are not talented enough to show their own creations they have to steal someone elses work, hope you get this matter resolved soon, your work is stunning and so inspiring many thanks for showing us
Hi Angie,
I am so sorry that this has happened to you. I too, have had a similar thing happen when someone took my work and had it as a sample on their online store (much like EBay) to help sell a stamp which was the same stamp I had used on my card! The person had initially asked if she could use my card and I had said "no" but they used my card anyway! So rude and I was sooooooo angry. I actually filed a DCMA Notice to the website and the listing was pulled within an hour. DCMA stands for Digital Millenium Copyright Act and is for online work and you fill in the form and email it to the website or the person and it is a proper legal document. I can give you some more information about it - it isn't difficult to fill in and doesn't require that you consult a solicitor - you do it yourself. If you wish, you can email me via my email link on my blog and I can give you more details.
Hope your back is getting better - nothing more disabling than a back injury :-(

Hi Angie,
Just me again! If it's OK, I would like the link to the lady's website so I can follow up. Thanks :-)
Jocelyn
It's a awesome post.
Legal action can now be taken against this person. You can also be compensated for use of your photos/work since she was warned and did not have your permission to do so in the first place. This is called copyright infringement, and you wouldn't necessarily need a paper stating copyrights, as long as you can show proof that it was yours to begin with. All you would have to do is... Prior to publishing anything on a site, just email a copy of it to yourself. This will have the date you created this, the time and a sample of the item it's self, and your good to go. I'd like to see you compensated and the idiot who posted your items without permission PAY up the ting yang!!!
