I had been praying for such a long time for someone to come into my life who I can craft with... who I can teach and share the talent I have been blessed with... and God has graciously answered my prayer. A few months ago Shazzy got in touch with me (she'd met me at a craft show) and since that time we've crafted together and become such wonderful friends. Every Friday we get together and craft all day. It's so much fun when you can share your ideas and talents with a friend.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This last Friday we made a book card. Shazzy had bought the Presscut Book Die Set and we worked together and made our cards. I hadn't made one since doing the Bookatrix years ago. Here is my card.........</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NWw5ZMhOCZs/V-IEcdnoxOI/AAAAAAAACDg/xNP7OKEIOX00YBwWbTPbUAEQrHgomERuQCLcB/s1600/Angie.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="255" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NWw5ZMhOCZs/V-IEcdnoxOI/AAAAAAAACDg/xNP7OKEIOX00YBwWbTPbUAEQrHgomERuQCLcB/s320/Angie.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I started this next card a few weeks ago but it then sat on my desk because I just didn't know exactly where I was going with it. I'd cut the Sue Wilson Gemini Lyra for my decorative edge... Used part of the Sue Wilson Swiss Collection Geneva die to cut the oval but that's were I stopped. Finally I decided on using some of my Gardenia Roses and here is the finished card.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-H1YMIYnd4E4/V-IFQk7DbfI/AAAAAAAACDk/mz3tZGvqoXIHcbjcxQPmafPo9vjsg8OqgCLcB/s1600/Pink%2BLyra.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-H1YMIYnd4E4/V-IFQk7DbfI/AAAAAAAACDk/mz3tZGvqoXIHcbjcxQPmafPo9vjsg8OqgCLcB/s320/Pink%2BLyra.jpeg" width="294" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I've added a bit of Sue Wilson's Trailing Ivy and I made a decorative Teapot pin. It's been quite a while since I'd made a pin.. You'll be seeing more in my work from now on.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Here are a two more cards I've made in recent days.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nle_fyoqt7g/V-II877Y5oI/AAAAAAAACEE/dPy9yM8CvBkW4RNcQll-7xBfEFIDrIrmACLcB/s1600/My%2BCard%2Bfor%2BHala%2B-%2Bresized.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nle_fyoqt7g/V-II877Y5oI/AAAAAAAACEE/dPy9yM8CvBkW4RNcQll-7xBfEFIDrIrmACLcB/s320/My%2BCard%2Bfor%2BHala%2B-%2Bresized.jpg" width="295" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QvscPqOERNw/V-II9Tbf4lI/AAAAAAAACEI/8YQdEuWxuCUa0G2Uev-z7ltgaINJFY35QCLcB/s1600/Penny%2BBells%2B-%2Bresized.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QvscPqOERNw/V-II9Tbf4lI/AAAAAAAACEI/8YQdEuWxuCUa0G2Uev-z7ltgaINJFY35QCLcB/s320/Penny%2BBells%2B-%2Bresized.jpg" width="254" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The top card is made using the Sue Wilson Festive Collection Christmas Rose with her Lattice Arched Adornment also the Mini Gemini Ursa die as my edge. The corners are from SW Configurations - Swirly Lace Edger (corners only) I've also used part of the SW Finishing Touches Scalloped Lattice Buckle.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The next card I've used Sue Wilson's Gemini Rococo die. The flowers are one of my new creations made with the Cheery Lynn Sweet William die... I call them PENNY DROPS. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Finally... here are two cards designed and made for FAT CATS CARD CORNER Both are featuring the Sue Wilson Christmas Rose.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1VCtNVU-eP0/V-IIopOBOaI/AAAAAAAACD8/JU8dMnAZUOs3N9kzRYScCFHRX4rhuvfzACLcB/s1600/Christmas%2BRoses%2Bon%2BAustralian%2BBackground%2B-%2Bresized.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="250" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1VCtNVU-eP0/V-IIopOBOaI/AAAAAAAACD8/JU8dMnAZUOs3N9kzRYScCFHRX4rhuvfzACLcB/s320/Christmas%2BRoses%2Bon%2BAustralian%2BBackground%2B-%2Bresized.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lT94DagGyxc/V-IIo0mfI1I/AAAAAAAACEA/1OJbSHmGGbk_BP6BxRB_eMGam_Yc50JMACLcB/s1600/The%2BGarden%2BGate.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="316" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lT94DagGyxc/V-IIo0mfI1I/AAAAAAAACEA/1OJbSHmGGbk_BP6BxRB_eMGam_Yc50JMACLcB/s320/The%2BGarden%2BGate.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In the top card I've also used the Sue Wilson Australian Collection Background and in the bottom card I've used the SW Arbour Gate... inside the gate you can just see Marianne Creatables Tiny's Couple.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
That's it from me for now... I'll be posting my Friday cards each week... If I forget, someone send me a POKE! Love to you all and especially to Little Bugalugs <smiles><br /></smiles></div>

<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qHFjGjRkcWQ/V6_1222jEaI/AAAAAAAACBQ/vg44e95KiOkeWWn21fzi6HQpLUXdf8GSQCEw/s1600/Gardenia%2Bstrip%2Broses%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qHFjGjRkcWQ/V6_1222jEaI/AAAAAAAACBQ/vg44e95KiOkeWWn21fzi6HQpLUXdf8GSQCEw/s320/Gardenia%2Bstrip%2Broses%2B2.jpg" width="292" /></a><span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"> I've wanted to do some You Tube videos that I can share with you all but... oh yes, there is always a BUT. First of all my biggest concern is my shaky hands... over the past couple of years it has become worse and I do tend to get a little self conscience about it. My mother lived all her life with shaky hands and it's stand to reason that I have inherited the same problem. Seondly I worried that my inexperience with making the videos would show through and I wouldn't be able to come up to a standard that many of you would expect. Lastly... my poor health and high pain levels often stop me in my tracks. It's useless to try and do something like this when I am in bad pain, it would show in more ways than one.<br />The time has come for me to stop procrastinating and put aside the above concerns. I am who I am and all I can do is my very best.<br />A couple of months back I did a tutorial on making my Gardenia Rose. This flower is made using the Cheery Lynn Gardenia Strip Die both in Large and Small. Here is my Gardenia Rose... </span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gk-M_9gqqz8/V6_2uM6julI/AAAAAAAACBc/WNsnNr4wQjg8ZN3l1pZwbXF96RAPSFmbwCLcB/s1600/Gardenia%2BRoses.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="317" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gk-M_9gqqz8/V6_2uM6julI/AAAAAAAACBc/WNsnNr4wQjg8ZN3l1pZwbXF96RAPSFmbwCLcB/s320/Gardenia%2BRoses.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"></span></span><br />
<span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"></span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" class="YOUTUBE-iframe-video" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/YfMgPoaKikM/0.jpg" frameborder="0" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/YfMgPoaKikM?feature=player_embedded" width="320"></iframe></div>
<br />
<span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">This is the first time I've done a video so up close... my reason for this is obvious... I wanted you to be able to see exactly how it is done. I do hope it's of help to someone. I shall definetly be doing more. By the way.. the way I have made this flower is using the "Ultimate Rose" technique. I shall be doing a better video regarding this technique very soon. I have done one but it's not very good and you cannot see exactly what I am doing. I have also converted into You Tubes my PENNY FLOWERS shapings and moulding. They are at present not available to the public but I am thinking about changing that.<br /><br />I'd be interested to have comments on this Gardenia Rose You Tube.</span></span><br />

Here are a couple of cards made earlier this year.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UK352TBPD5U/V3DBR1AC9TI/AAAAAAAAB9o/ep9GCY5tQW0yXNhFXFtfVpW1XsM4jC9aACLcB/s1600/Sweet%2BWilliams%2Bin%2BSydney%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="309" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UK352TBPD5U/V3DBR1AC9TI/AAAAAAAAB9o/ep9GCY5tQW0yXNhFXFtfVpW1XsM4jC9aACLcB/s320/Sweet%2BWilliams%2Bin%2BSydney%2B2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

These two cards were made using Sue Wilson's Australian Collection - Sydney die. The flowers on the top one are Cheery Lynn Sweet Williams and the flowers on the bottom are my Gardenia Roses made using the small Cheery Lynn Gardenia Strip.<br />
<br />
This next card I got my inspiration from Debbie Stevens. I saw a card she made using this Marianne Designs Brick wall and the Joy Craft Frame & 3 Corners. I just loved it so sought permission of Debbie to use her idea, which she graciously allowed.... and here is mine. My flowers are different as well as my text etc. <br />

<span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Hello dear followers...</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Yes.. it's me! The slackest blogger you know <grins>. I've been quiet because my health has deteriorated even more. Without going into a long story... My sister suggested to me earlier this year that I should ask my Pain Specialist to refer me to have an MRI. In the 20 years I've had this back problem one has never been done. Oh yes, I've had 2 or 3 CT Scans but not an MRI. She said that at least this would show exactly what is wrong with my back. I almost begged my pain doctor to order it and had it been the doctor I normally see, HE would have said no but I saw a woman the last time I went and SHE sat there for half an hour giving me so many reasons why I shouldn't have one but in the end... she ordered the MRI to be done. Again, I'm not going into it all however, it did show quite a few problems with my lower back and the recommendation was....</grins></span> <span style="background-color: white;"> <u><span style="color: black;">"</span></u></span></span><span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "arial narrow" , sans-serif;"><span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="background-color: black;"><span style="background-color: white;"><u><span style="color: black;">CT-guided steroid epidural injection recommended at L5-S1"</span></u> </span></span> I go back next week to see the pain doctor (it was my GP who told me the results) and if she doesn't organise this injection then my GP said he will. So I am hoping to have some relief from this crippling pain.</span></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "arial narrow" , sans-serif;"><span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="background-color: white;"></span></span><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "arial narrow" , sans-serif;"><span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="background-color: white;">Ok.. enough about my health... here is an easel card I made using A<span style="font-family: "arial narrow" , sans-serif;">LL Sue Wilson Dies. I watc<span style="font-family: "arial narrow" , sans-serif;">hed a video whee she was making a similar but it didn't have much colour and I do like to things MY WAY. <span style="font-family: "arial narrow" , sans-serif;">Sue used a different die <span style="font-family: "arial narrow" , sans-serif;">for the top and the bottom part that makes it an easel.. <span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">I have become rather addicted to the Creative Expressions Dies designed by Sue Wilson. I love the versatility of each one. Dare I say? I have at last count 44 however!! I have more Spellbinders, Cheery Lynn & Marianne Creatables... and others. The promise is still strong... but I am not going to ask for your patience, instead I shall do it when I can and I am aiming to get back to a few things as soon as I have the injection mentioned above which will hopefully give me some relief.</span></span><br />

<span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Here are a few PURSE cards I've made. The flap of the purse is made from a Marianne Creatables die, Anja's Vintage Decoration. </span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3YZfkceFoRQ/VfYKxWb9SvI/AAAAAAAABtE/9vvE8ylM71Y/s1600/Vintage%2BDecoration%2BPurse%2BCard%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="227" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3YZfkceFoRQ/VfYKxWb9SvI/AAAAAAAABtE/9vvE8ylM71Y/s320/Vintage%2BDecoration%2BPurse%2BCard%2B1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Lztd9dE0Ct4/VfYKc4jk0rI/AAAAAAAABtA/jTgWES7TmcU/s1600/Vintage%2BDecoration%2BPurse%2BCard%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="237" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Lztd9dE0Ct4/VfYKc4jk0rI/AAAAAAAABtA/jTgWES7TmcU/s320/Vintage%2BDecoration%2BPurse%2BCard%2B2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">The embossed card I used on the purses is from the range of CRISTINA RE papers. On the top card I have used two different dies to make the roses. 1. Die-namics Royal Roses 2. Impression Obsession - Spiral Flowers. On the bottom card I have used my own ULTIMATE ROSE.</span></span><br />
<span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Also, here are two sample purses I made... this Vintage Decoration die can be used in so many ways.. these purses are just one.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-EJryZLO3rcU/VfYLEdXX9yI/AAAAAAAABtM/s82C30uJOTY/s1600/Vintage%2BDecoration%2BPurse%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="195" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-EJryZLO3rcU/VfYLEdXX9yI/AAAAAAAABtM/s82C30uJOTY/s320/Vintage%2BDecoration%2BPurse%2B1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8_mnRwCk7xs/VfYLExqan2I/AAAAAAAABtQ/WQdbDtb7XIo/s1600/Vintage%2BDecoration%2BPurse%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="181" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8_mnRwCk7xs/VfYLExqan2I/AAAAAAAABtQ/WQdbDtb7XIo/s320/Vintage%2BDecoration%2BPurse%2B2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"> The black purse was made from an embossed paper I had. I cannot remember the brand or name. The white purse was embossed using the Couture Creations Embossing Folder - Tied Together.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-p4eRn7RpEEk/VfYLcN6QfAI/AAAAAAAABtc/revs0azDP68/s1600/Delicate%2BButterfly%2BArch%2BHandbag.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="224" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-p4eRn7RpEEk/VfYLcN6QfAI/AAAAAAAABtc/revs0azDP68/s320/Delicate%2BButterfly%2BArch%2BHandbag.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Another purse I made using a similar die was this one using a Memory Box die - Delicate Butterfly Arch. This die was much more delicate to work with but still looked good.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="color: #0b5394;">I've added the beading for a handle thus making it more like a handbag. The corners are from Joy Crafts - Frame & 3 Corners. The background paper is one I've picked up on my travels.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="color: #0b5394;">I always have my eyes open for pretty papers... you should see my collection <grins> Yes indeed, I'm a sucker for my papers... oh and also pretty pastel cardstock. </grins></span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="color: #0b5394;">I promised a surprise and I apologise it's late... but trust me, it's coming. Without telling you what it is, it does involve a video and my problem has been that the lighting in my house isn't good. This is due to the fact that we have two enormous windows with make it too light... so I have put a dark blind on one of the windows... maybe I'll need to get another one. We'll see, I shall be trying it out tomorrow. Please be patient with me, I know I can get slack but I do live with constant pain and it more often than not dictates my life and how my days are. However, I do try and I'm determined to start doing videos for you all.</span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="color: #0b5394;">Love... Angie </span></span><br />

<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="color: #0b5394;">Hello everyone</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="color: #0b5394;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="color: #0b5394;">I am so sorry it's been so long since I have posted on my blog. Since my knee surgery I have been plagued with even more bad health. My back problems seem to be getting worse but I just have to soldier on. I learned from my Pain Management doctor that there is surgery that could relieve some of my pain but... Ohh there is always a BUT.... the public health systerm we have don't think I suffer enough and they wont do this surgery. I cannot walk 25metres without being in terrible pain however, if I use my walking frame, it's not too bad. It's so true... the rich get better and the poor don't. PAH! I am rich! I have a wonderful husband, two great sons, their wives, who I consider my daughters, and four outstanding grandchildren. Oh and lest I dare not mention, the Duchess, My Fergie. I am so blessed. I no longer have my parents but I have my Heavenly Father, without HIM how could I go on?</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="color: #0b5394;">As well as my back problems I was having a problem with my blood sugar. I am a Type 2 Diabetic and on two different Insulins which amounts to 5 needles a day. My BGLs (Blood Glucose Levels) had been terrific but of late, because I cannot do the exercise I used to, my morning sugar levels were up a little. I saw this Diabetic Educator who, in my humble opinion, was a FOOL!! Oh I don't think I will go into this too much... anyway, she started me on an Insulin Mix, which meant I would only have 2 needles a day... the two insulins are 'mixed' in one Insulin Pen... Those of you who take insulin will understand. The FOOL, once she started me on this new regime left the clinic where I was seeing her and when I asked who and how I would be looked after and helped, adjusting to this MIX.. She said she would do so but.... oh yes... here comes the BUT... she would do so by text messaging! Do you think I am kidding? Oh no... Starting on this mix I had to start low and build up to the appropriate dose for me. I didn't understand it much because it was different... so to have my only support done by text messaging was not something I could cope with. I had to record my BGLs and then photograph the book, send it to this FOOL and when she could be bothered, and often it was near midnight, she would tell me what to increase my insulin to. My sugar went up and I got scared. In the end I SACKED the silly woman and I'm happy to say, I am with a wonderful Educator now AND as of Saturday, just gone, I am back on the two insulins, which I prefer, and also with a few changes... now only 4 needles a day. I'm a happy lady. Ok.. enough of my health issues. I just wanted to fill you in a little. </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="color: #0b5394;">Yes, I've been busy card making and I'm still working for Fatcats on their Design Team. Here is some work I've done since I posted last.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="color: #0b5394;">I've been using some of the Sue Wilson - Creative Expressions Dies so I will show you these and then over the next couple of weeks, I will show you other work I have done.</span></span></div>

<br />
Finally the day has come that I have my Knee Replacement Operation. I go into hospital tomorrow morning and will be operated on before lunch... May 30th.<br />
<br />
I'm sorry I haven't been much of a blogger. My pain levels have been so bad that I have been spending 80% of my day in bed.... and I have been like this for some time now which, as you can imagine, has limited my craft word.<br />
I am so looking forward to being able to do my craft without the restrictions I've had. Oh to be able to walk again without horrendous pain will be so good. I can't wait to be able to walk with my husband.... holding his hand and in my other hand.. carrying my handbag. Something that has been impossible since November last year when I started to use crutches to get around.<br />
<br />
As soon as I am up and running... literally <smiles> I shall let you all know how I went. Until then.. please keep me in your prayers. I am so scared of this whole procedure but I know it is so needed. While I am afraid.. I do cling to my Lord and know that He will be there, guiding the surgeons hands.</smiles><br />
<br />
I love you all and thank you for not abandoning this slack blogger. hugs.. AngieUnknownnoreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1431630362413639911.post-16428032640935928002014-01-29T17:48:00.003+11:002014-01-29T17:48:43.024+11:00And finally.....Here are two special cards I made...<br />
<br />
This is the card I made for my good friend, Bee's, birthday. If you haven't looked at her blog.. oh my... you really should. Bee is my partner in our Yahoo group, PENNY FLOWERS... she's been a tower of strength to me for years now. Her blog is on the side of my blog here... BAUKJE'S CARDS & CRAFTS.<br />

<br />
I looked at my blog via my phone the other day and realised AGAIN... how long it's been since I last wrote.<br />
My health has been suffering even more of late. My knee is so much worse and it's causing my back to hurt so much. This is because of the crutches but given they're the only way I can walk.. it's a vicious circle.<br />
Finally it's getting close that I will be having surgery. I saw the Orthopedic Surgeon in November and he put me on the semi urgent list to have a full knee replacement. Normally that's up to a 3 month wait... unfortunately Christmas and the New Year holidays was in the middle of this. I am now hoping I shall hear any day now that I will have a date for the surgery. I would ask that you keep me in your prayers.<br />
<br />
I've still been making cards but I had to admit that during the heatwaves we've been having I've been to drained to do much. Here are some of the work I've done since I last posted.<br />
<br />
Much love to you all and thank you all so much for being so dedicated in your following. To those who wrote to me asking about PENNY FLOWERS eBook... I had all the emails in a folder so I could answer you all and explain why I hadn't been in touch. Where that folder went? I don't have a clue but I should still have your emails in my archives so I'll try and see if I can find you there. I'm really sorry.<br />
<br />
hugs... Angie<br />

<span style="color: #3d85c6;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="color: #3d85c6;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Every time I write it seems as though it's been ages since I've done so. Some of you have written to me either commenting on my work or asking me about my PENNY FLOWERS eBook and I have been so remiss in responding to you. I do hope you'll forgive me and PLEASE, write to me again because I'm afraid I have forgotten who has asked or said what. When you do write.. please make sure you tell me this is not your first time in writing to me. For those I've neglected... I shall send you a copy of my eBook, free of charge.... <smiles> oh and for anyone else who asks. </smiles></span></span><br />
<span style="color: #3d85c6;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">One thing I have found is that if I am going to send my eBook.. then you need to have an email that will accept a big file. It's about 12meg.</span></span><br />
<span style="color: #3d85c6;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="color: #3d85c6;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Now... first of all let me tell you what has been happening in my life. About six months ago? (goodness, I cant remember how long) my knee started to give me problems. As if it wasn't bad enough that my back causes me so much pain.. then my knee. I have finally gone and had an xray and ultra sound on it. The new is not good. I have severe Osteo Arthritis in the right knee and I am going to need full knee reconstruction/replacement surgery. Given that I'm so poor... this means going on a waiting list which could be up to a year... and that's just to see the orthopedic surgeon. I know there are so many who suffer worse than I do so I am trying not to complain too much.</span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #3d85c6;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">What else is there to tell you? Oh I know!! I've joined Pinterest. <laughs> I had so many people tell me they had seen my cards on this 'pinterest' and I not only didn't know what it was but sure didn't understand it. Well after hearing so many ladies talking about it... I signed up. I've put some of my work there and some of my interests.... but I'm still a learner and don't know sometimes how to invite someone to follow me etc. If you would like to see my Pinterest.. which I remind you, is in it's early stages... here is the website (I think that is what one calls it)</laughs></span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #3d85c6;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><a href="http://pinterest.com/angieandtshina/boards/">Angie's Pinterest</a> </span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">One more thing before I show you my latest card. At the end of this month, AUGUST 30TH. to be precise, I will be demonstration at the Paperific Craft Show in Melbourne. I'll be on the FATCATS CARD CORNER stand which is owned by the beautiful Kaaren. So my friends.. if any of you are in Melbourne... I would just love it if you could come and say hello to me. Please identify yourself as one of my Blog followers. Oh how exciting that would be... to meet you in person.</span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Here is my latest card. I haven't made too much that I can show you over the past month or so. I've been getting ready for the above show and I'm keeping what I am demonstrating there a surprise... so as soon as the show is over.. I'll be sure to show you all. Ok.. here is my latest...</span></span><br />

Firstly, I've been in a lot of pain with the problems I have in my back. This means a whole new lot of xrays and CT Scans and a relook at the pain medication I am on. As if this hasn't been enough to stress me out, on Saturday, 1st June, we were in a car accident. Praise God neither my hubby or I were hurt but the driver who rammed into the back of us took off and we don't have any of his/her details. The force in which we were hit spun our car around 180deg and up a gutter and small embankment. Again, Praise God the only damage done was that we now need a complete new wheel, muffler and part of our exhaust and the tow bar is probably going to need replacing. Lucky for us our car isn't one of the new ones that have a lot of plastic on them.. had it been, it would have been a write off! </span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="color: #0b5394;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="color: #0b5394;">Over May I made a few cards.. here are some of them.</span></span><br />

<span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">This last card (done in the red & black) is similar to one I've shown you before. Just look back a few entries on my blog and you'll see it. The difference between the two is that this one has different flowers. These are the Die-Namics Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose whereas the first one was the Die-Namics Layered Rose. This one I've used the Cheery Lynn City Girl Edger, whereas on the first one I used the Cheery Lynn Anastasia Lace. The only other difference is that I used a different leaf swirl type of die on each of them. </span></span><br />
<span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">I hope you're all well and happy. I'm currently working on some new ideas.. I'll show you when they're done. </span></span><br />

I've been busy creating new cards using some of the new dies out. I've had that nasty tooth removed and can I just say.. the Dentist was sensational. I hardly felt it at all. It just goes to show, if you get the right person and one who cares, it can make your experience so much better and that's saying something especially coming from a sook like me. The only down side to the day I had that tooth removed was hearing the new that one of my closest friends died that morning. I was so sad and I sure am going to miss her dearly. So right now, let me take this little bit of space to remember a dear dear friend, a fellow crafter and over all, a beautiful lady. </span></span></span><br />

<span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Here are some of my recent cards. Rather than me list all the dies I've used, go to the FATCATS link on the right hand side here, and then look in the Gallery. A full list of dies is there.. and not only my work but the lovely work of others on the design team there.</span></span></span><br />

<span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">I hope you're all well. I love this time of year because I know the cold weather is approaching. While many hate that, I love it when it's cold. It's not so hard to get cosy but it sure is difficult to cool down. Many MEIOWs and Purrrrs from my Duchess, Fergie and lots of hugs from me, Angie.</span></span></span><br />

IT POURS!<span style="color: #741b47;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Hello dear followers..</span></span><br />
<span style="color: #741b47;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="color: #741b47;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Yes.. in my life it doesn't just rain but POURS. My hand is slowly healing and I'm able to do more than I have been for some time.. However.. on Sunday morning I awoke to having an abscess on one of the few bottom teeth that I have. My face was so swollen and the pain was frightful. I have a terrible fear of the dentist but I just had to go see him. The result is that I have to have that tooth removed but not until the swelling goes down and the infection clears up. He put me on antibiotics and now I about a two week reprieve. I go to get it out on the 4th April. I would so much appreciate your prayers that I wont be so scared. I had major work done on my teeth two years ago and even knowing I had to go just for an examination I fainted five times! Oh what a sook I am :)</span></span><br />
<span style="color: #741b47;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="color: #741b47;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Enough of my groaning and moaning. Here is a card I made the day before I had my bandages removed. I just couldn't wait, could I? It's no work of art but it does show what we can do with dies.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GsnQFsc1onw/UUfMutScrQI/AAAAAAAAA20/paN3Bde99_s/s1600/Floral+layer+and+Chloe+stem.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GsnQFsc1onw/UUfMutScrQI/AAAAAAAAA20/paN3Bde99_s/s320/Floral+layer+and+Chloe+stem.jpg" width="233" /></a></div>
<span style="color: #741b47;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">The main dies used on this card was the Marianne Creatables Floral Layers, Memory Box Chloe Stem and one of the Cheery Lynn Tiny Borders. I used a Martha Stewart around the page punch on the corners and the bottom border.</span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #741b47;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Over the weekend just gone I made another card which I first intended to make some of my own flowers but my hands are not quite up to it yet so I used some rolled roses made with dies.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="color: #741b47;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"> The dies used on this card are:</span></span><br />

<span style="color: #741b47;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">I've had a couple of emails from some of you asking me different questions. Whilst I've had my blog for some time I still consider myself a learner :) so please.. If you want to ask me something email me at <a href="mailto:angieandtshina@gmail.com">angieandtshina@gmail.com</a><br /> that way I can respond to you much better. For those who have emailed me and not received an answer I would ask PLEASE send me a POKE... my poor memory suffers so and the last thing I would ever want anyone thinking is that I don't care because that is not the case. My poor health necessitates me taking medication that sometimes effects my short term memory. So I say it again, PLEASE, if I don't answer or haven't answered email me again! You are not being a nuisance, you will be making me happy.</span></span><br />
<span style="color: #741b47;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="color: #741b47;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Thank you for your love and support. You're all the best.</span></span><br />

<br />
Surgery went well. Now comes the hard part... doing without the use of my right hand. I'll be having the dressings removed on Tuesday but I think it'll still be a while before I'm back to normal. Thanks for your messages of love and prayers.<br />
<br />
much love and hugs... <span style="color: #741b47;"><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br /></span></span></span>
<span style="color: #741b47;"><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Well the time has come when I must stop crafting but only for a few weeks. This Monday, 4th March, I will be having surgery on my right hand to hopefully, fix the carpal tunnel problem that is causing me so much pain. Twelve weeks later they will do my left hand.</span></span></span><br />
<span style="color: #741b47;"><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br /></span></span></span>
<span style="color: #741b47;"><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Here are a few cards I've made over the past week or so.</span></span></span><br />
<span style="color: #741b47;"><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br /></span></span></span>
<span style="color: #741b47;"><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">This first one was done with one of Marianne Craftables new dies, Coffee Cup. This die comes with a Cup, Saucer and Spoon. </span> </span></span><br />

<span style="color: #741b47;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white;"> I was looking through my cards folder and I don't think I showed you these two next cards. One was made for a special friend's new baby. The second one was made for the first birthday of another friend's granddaughter's. Both are Easel Cards.</span></span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="color: #741b47;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white;">Please keep me in your prayers as I go to have my surgery on Monday. While I have waited so long to have this procedure done, I am a little nervous. It was explained to me the risks by my plastic surgeon and while there is a chance of nerve damage... be it ever a small one.. It just has to be done. I need my hands!</span></span></span><br />
<span style="color: #741b47;"><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Much love. Angie</span></span></span><br />

I'm so used to using pretty pastel colours but it is good to venture outside our comfort zones.<br />
I thought today, rather than just show you my finished product I would explain a little about how I did it.<br />
For my flowers, I used one of the shapes from Cheery Lynn Build a Flower3...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZKyyyrEC5u0/USL-mIKtY9I/AAAAAAAAA0k/91Rb1C5bZEk/s1600/build+a+flower3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZKyyyrEC5u0/USL-mIKtY9I/AAAAAAAAA0k/91Rb1C5bZEk/s1600/build+a+flower3.jpg" /></a></div>
I used the shapes that are yellow coloured (2nd row from bottom, right side) and cut four of these.<br />
I used some brown ink (from a stamp pad) which I applied with a small pom pom to the little 'notch' area of the petals. I gave the petals some shaping and moulding and then cut off the little bit of the stem part that has a small hole and then adhered one petal per arm of my base shape.<br />
For the base shape you could use anything that has four arms.. for example, I used a <u>small</u> hydrangea flower..<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7kucdjykkNE/USMAF11AtsI/AAAAAAAAA0w/ok2Ls9m3xB4/s1600/hydrangea.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7kucdjykkNE/USMAF11AtsI/AAAAAAAAA0w/ok2Ls9m3xB4/s1600/hydrangea.jpg" /></a></div>
It's important after gluing the petals to your base shape that you allow it to dry completely. Then give it some cupping in the centre to make the flower sit how you'd like it to. <br />
Now for the centre I pondered on this for some time to come up with something that would be appropriate. I used five tiny daisies that I cut out of brown paper.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LF__1VV09o0/USMBmwhWSDI/AAAAAAAAA1M/GmOcWBy_oCU/s1600/sml+daisy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LF__1VV09o0/USMBmwhWSDI/AAAAAAAAA1M/GmOcWBy_oCU/s1600/sml+daisy.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xqjQyz9MPGI/USMBCTBPSEI/AAAAAAAAA1E/4h_0vJTEql4/s1600/sml+daisy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a></div>
Give each daisy severe cupping and stand them up against each other. This is hard for me to explain so let me show you up close so you can see it better.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PKRQpXsv8WE/USMCOt6kgsI/AAAAAAAAA1c/ZQxdPQUzlUY/s1600/dogwood+centre.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PKRQpXsv8WE/USMCOt6kgsI/AAAAAAAAA1c/ZQxdPQUzlUY/s1600/dogwood+centre.jpg" /></a></div>
Now add some leaves. I used some very plain leaves I had that are part of the Spellbinders Rose Creations set. I rubbed them over with some green Metallic Cream Chalk which game them some sheen.<br />
The rest of the card: I used the Cheery Lynn Chicken Wire which I cut to make it look a little rustic. I placed two Cheery Lynn Lace Corners Deco A opposite corners. .. Best Wishes (Cheery Lynn) finished off my card.<br />
This is the first time I have ever given any type of instructions. I do hope they work out ok for you and perhaps be a help for someone. Here is the finished project. hugs... Angie<br />
